All Nippon Airways unveils Chiikawa-themed jet

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has unveiled its “Chiikawa Jet,” a Boeing 767-300ER featuring special designs based on the popular manga series “Chiikawa.” The aircraft showcases eight characters, including Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi, surrounded by motifs representing the four seasons across Japan.

The aircraft is scheduled to begin domestic operations on October 19, with its inaugural flight being NH661 from Haneda to Nagasaki. Following the launch, the jet will be deployed across various domestic routes rather than a fixed schedule.

In addition to the exterior design, ANA is introducing themed amenities for economy class passengers, such as character-themed headrest covers and limited-edition paper cups. The collaboration also includes a “Let’s Travel with Chiikawa!” campaign, offering prizes such as original acrylic stands and passport cases through various lotteries, alongside the planned release of collaboration merchandise.
