All People's Congress candidates outline reform visions for Sierra Leone

Candidates within Sierra Leone's All People's Congress (APC) are outlining visions for party reform and future governance as the opposition prepares for the 2028 elections.

Dr. Ibrahim Bangura is positioning his candidacy around a platform of healing, uniting, and building. His background includes work as a Results-Oriented Monitoring expert, having assessed over 100 European Union-funded projects across approximately 30 African countries. His approach emphasizes evidence-based assessment of development programs in sectors such as agriculture, education, and healthcare to ensure promised results are delivered to citizens.

Dr. Vandy Konneh, an aspirant for the APC National Secretary-General position, has called for greater unity, inclusivity, and strategic planning. Konneh aims to focus on internal organizational development to challenge the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP) in 2028. He highlighted his advocacy for political inclusivity, noting that the party has introduced provisions to allow persons with disabilities to participate as delegates.
