Allegion expands Schlage XE360 Series with RealSync technology

Allegion has announced the expansion of its Schlage XE360 Series with the introduction of RealSync, a new cloud-to-cloud communication protocol designed for commercial access control. This technology enables persistent, always-on Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing for real-time monitoring, instant remote locking and unlocking, and immediate credential management.

Unlike traditional wireless access control that operates on a periodic schedule, RealSync leverages a building’s existing Wi-Fi infrastructure to provide continuous connection without the need for additional wiring, gateways, or complex panels. The solution includes an interchangeable FleX Module, which allows properties that previously used XE360 hardware as an offline solution to upgrade their capabilities.

Nate Spitz, General Manager of Schlage locks and access solutions at Allegion, described the release as a “seismic shift” in the industry, noting that it aims to reduce the cost and complexity of scaling real-time access across commercial buildings.
