Allegri decision to favor De Bruyne over Vergara analyzed

Massimiliano Allegri faced scrutiny following his decision not to substitute Kevin De Bruyne with Antonio Vergara during Napoli's match against Fiorentina at the Franchi stadium. Despite Vergara's recent call-up to the national team and expectations that his entry could provide offensive energy, Allegri opted to keep De Bruyne on the pitch.

Reports suggest Allegri believed De Bruyne's ability to provide decisive through balls or a moment of individual brilliance could change the game's outcome. While De Bruyne's performance was described as below his usual standards, journalists noted that the coach prioritized De Bruyne's technical quality and capacity to find passing angles in a difficult, congested match environment.
