Former Milan director Braida defends Maldini legacy and applauds Allegri's Napoli appointment

Ariedo Braida, a former AC Milan director, rebutted club president Gerry Cardinale’s claim that Paolo Maldini’s approach was an “one‑man show”. Braida stressed the historic contribution of the Maldini family, stating: «La famiglia Maldini, a cominciare dal papà, ha scritto la storia del Milan… Non si può non partire dalla storia».

Braida also praised Napoli’s decision to hire former Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri, calling him an “experienced, well‑prepared trainer who has won a lot” and expressing confidence that the club will continue to succeed under his leadership.

Journalist Pasquale Salvione added that Allegri’s confidence in Kevin De Bruyne is high, noting that the Belgian midfielder “gli darà massima fiducia” and is likely to remain at Napoli.
