Allegri to choose future of Napoli’s loanees Lang and Lucca

Massimiliano Allegri, newly appointed coach of Napoli, is evaluating the futures of forwards Noa Lang and Lorenzo Lucca, who have returned from season‑long loans at Galatasaray and Nottingham Forest respectively. Both players struggled for playing time under former coach Antonio Conte despite sizable transfer fees – €25 million for Lang and €35 million for Lucca – and were sent out on loan in January.

Allegri has placed Lang under observation during training camps in Dimaro and Castel di Sangro, while Lucca is also expected to prove his worth in pre‑season. Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentis says the club prefers to rely on existing contracts rather than new signings, making the two loanees potential internal solutions if they can earn the coach’s trust.

The decision will shape Napoli’s attacking options for the upcoming season, which includes a demanding schedule across domestic and European competitions.
