Napoli move to sign Allegri from Milan as contract talks continue

Napoli are actively working to resolve the contract of Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri so that he can join the club after his deal with Milan ends on 30 June. The club’s director of football, Giovanni Manna, says negotiations are focused on the “goodbyes” payment that Milan would owe Allegri; reports suggest Allegri is prepared to forgo the sum if a settlement is reached. Meanwhile, Napoli have also opened talks with Lazio for centre‑back Mario Gila, a Spanish defender whose contract runs until 2027. The club estimates a €25 million fee to trigger his release, with the possibility of including midfielder Luca Marianucci in the deal to lower the price. Both negotiations are being handled by chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis, who remains confident that the outstanding issues can be settled before the start of the next season.
