Community health programs launch flu vaccine clinics

Multiple health departments and community organizations are launching flu vaccine clinics to increase access to preventive care.

The Allen County Public Library (ACPL), in partnership with the nonprofit Super Shot, is hosting free flu vaccination clinics at ten different library branches starting September 21. The clinics are available to individuals aged six months and older. While a $15 administration fee is requested for those without insurance, the program aims to ensure no one is turned away due to an inability to pay.

In Burlington County, the Health Department has announced a schedule of weekly clinics across various locations, including Washington Township, Evesham, and Moorestown, beginning September 18. These vaccines are free of charge to Burlington County residents for anyone aged six months or older. Health officials emphasize that seasonal flu shots are a vital defense against respiratory viruses that can cause serious illness.
