Aller municipality offers virtual eclipse and ski experiences at FIDMA Gijón
The town of Aller will take part in the 69th Feria Internacional de Muestras de Asturias (FIDMA) in Gijón from 1 to 16 August. The municipal stand, covering 45.5 m² in the Nations Pavilion, will showcase the area’s main tourist assets and focus on the total solar eclipse that will be visible on 12 August. Visitors to the stand can explore virtual tours of Aller’s landscapes, heritage sites and mining history, try a virtual ski run at the Fuentes de Invierno station, and experience an immersive “virtual eclipse” that simulates the astronomical event.
Aller Day is scheduled for 14 August, featuring an official reception with a local bagpipe band, an institutional ceremony at the Palacio de Congresos and a free shuttle‑bus service. The municipality aims to strengthen its image as a natural‑tourism destination within Asturias and attract more visitors.
