Allgäu-Triathlon 2026: Tom Hug and Lena Meißner claim Classic victories

The 44th Allgäu-Triathlon took place in Immenstadt, Germany, featuring approximately 3,200 athletes. The event included both the main competition and the Triathlon Bundesliga, which saw 80 professional men and 54 professional women competing in team-based sprint distance races.

In the Classic distance, Tom Hug secured victory despite an early incident on the cycling portion where he collided with a wall due to a fogged visor. Lena Meißner, the reigning Ironman European Champion, won the women's Classic distance after deciding to enter the competition spontaneously.

The event, organized by the agency 808project, continues to serve as a major fixture for endurance sports in the region, utilizing locations such as the Alpsee in Bühl and challenging segments like the Kuhsteig climb.
