Alliança Diagnostic Labs Hit Liquidity Crisis, Auditors Cite Going-Concern Doubt
Alliança, Brazil's network of diagnostic laboratories, released delayed 2025 results showing a net loss of R$1.36 billion, a sharp increase from the previous year's R$129.1 million loss. Adjusted EBITDA fell to a negative R$856.2 million, reversing a positive R$216.8 million in 2024. Auditor Mário Vieira Lopes issued a qualification, noting limitations in confirming the recoverability of deferred tax assets and flagging significant uncertainty about the company’s ability to continue as a going concern.
The company’s net debt stood at R$381.4 million at year‑end, down 46.2% YoY, while liquidity remained precarious. Alliança’s owners also filed a precautionary measure in March to protect against debt enforcement, a step that could precede judicial or extrajudicial restructuring. Negotiations with creditors for an extrajudicial recovery are ongoing.
