Alliance Airlines renews component support agreement with Embraer

Alliance Airlines has renewed its Component Support Agreement with Embraer to enhance the reliability and availability of its E190 fleet. The agreement provides cost-effective repair solutions designed to optimize maintenance costs and support the airline's operational requirements.

Alliance Airlines operates the largest E190 fleet in Australia, with 48 units. The company has transitioned toward Embraer jets as it phases out its older Fokker 100 fleet. While a significant portion of the E190 fleet has been utilized for wet-lease operations for QantasLink, the number of aircraft dedicated to Qantas is expected to decrease to 23 by the end of the 2027 fiscal year. This shift will return aircraft to Alliance's direct control as other E190s return from dry lease contracts.

Embraer remains a key player in the Australian market, with nearly 70 E-Jets operated by six different Australian carriers. These aircraft play a critical role in regional connectivity and Fly in Fly Out (FIFO) operations for the mining and resources sectors.
