Alliance Dojo 71 provides community sports and social support in Montceau-les-Mines
Alliance Dojo 71, located in a rehabilitated former gendarmerie in Montceau-les-Mines, serves as a solidarity-focused sports center in the Saône-et-Loire region. Operating in collaboration with France Judo and the local municipality as part of the #1000dojos project, the facility aims to promote social and economic transformation through sport.
The dojo provides several community services, including judo sessions for children aged 4 to 12 and specialized sessions for individuals with mental disabilities. Beyond athletics, the center offers weekly academic support for students and assistance in bridging the digital divide through computer literacy aid. Over the past year, the facility supported 40 regular judokas and provided academic assistance to approximately 12 young people per session.
