Allianz announces leadership changes for Partners and Direct

Allianz has announced a leadership reshuffle for its Allianz Partners and Allianz Direct divisions. Effective November 1, 2026, Philipp Kroetz, the current CEO of Allianz Direct, will take over as the head of Allianz Partners, succeeding Tomas Kunzmann.

Laurent Floquet, currently the Chief Operating Officer of Allianz Partners, will transition to lead Allianz Direct on the same date. These appointments are subject to regulatory approval. Kunzmann is scheduled to join the Management Board of Allianz SE on January 1, 2027, filling a vacancy created by the planned retirement of Klaus-Peter Röhler.

Kroetz has led Allianz Direct since January 2022, during which time the digital insurer grew its customer base to over 3.2 million across five European markets and achieved a business volume exceeding 1.5 billion euros in 2025. Floquet, who joined the Allianz Group in 2014, has most recently overseen operational initiatives including the implementation of artificial intelligence solutions.
