Allison Guerriero's death determined to be suicide

Investigators have determined that Allison Guerriero, a former security consultant, died by suicide. Guerriero was found dead in her rented apartment in Boynton Beach, Florida, on August 27.

Guerriero was known for her 18-month affair with Charles McGonigal, the former FBI counterintelligence chief who is currently serving a 6.5-year prison sentence. McGonigal was convicted of secretly working for Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska. Information connected to Guerriero’s relationship with McGonigal helped expose his criminal conduct.

Her death occurred shortly after she posted several messages on X, including a video calling for attention to other federal officials and a statement declaring, “I hate the FBI.” While the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner declined to release the autopsy report due to Florida privacy laws, a source familiar with the investigation confirmed that suicide was the listed cause of death.
