Brazilian Companies Use Corporate Events to Drive Cultural Transformation

Facing low employee engagement—only 39% of Brazilian workers feel engaged, according to Engaja S/A—and a competitive push for innovation, firms are turning conventions, kick‑offs and integration gatherings into strategic tools for cultural change. Pink Eventos, a specialist agency, says well‑designed in‑person events can accelerate the building of organizational culture that would otherwise take months. Aline Rosa, CEO of Pink Eventos, explains, “A well‑designed event can speed up a culture that would take months to solidify.” Gallup research links higher engagement to up to 23% greater productivity. The events sector underpins a sizable economy: about 300,000 companies generated R$ 813.5 billion in 2024—roughly 4.6% of Brazil’s GDP—and more than 10 million events are expected this year. Companies view these gatherings as essential for aligning leadership, reinforcing purpose and fostering employee behavior change in an era of AI adoption, new work models and talent retention challenges.
