Allwyn Care conducts large‑scale blood and bone‑marrow donor drive in Piraeus, Greece
On 16 June, Allwyn Hellas organized its first major volunteer event in Piraeus, Greece, under the Allwyn Care programme. Partnering with the nonprofit groups Bloode and Choose Life, the initiative was supported by the Metaxa Anti‑Cancer Hospital and the Piraeus municipality. Participants gathered at the Municipal Theatre square, where they donated blood and enrolled as new bone‑marrow donors, many providing saliva samples for registration. A promotional video of the event was posted online.
The drive is part of Allwyn Care’s broader corporate‑social‑responsibility strategy, which also includes the announced renovation of the Metaxa General Anti‑Cancer Hospital. Organisers plan to replicate the “Allwyn Care Life Savers” campaign in other Greek regions to expand the volunteer donor pool and promote preventive health.
