Allysha Chapman to earn 100th cap in final match for Canada

Veteran fullback Allysha Chapman will play her final international match for the Canadian women’s national team on Monday against Denmark at BMO Field in Toronto. The 37-year-old, who currently plays for the Houston Dash, will reach the milestone of 100 caps during her farewell appearance.

Chapman has not represented Canada since the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Reflecting on her return to the national team camp, she noted the presence of many new faces and described the experience as feeling “like I’m 18 again.”

Canada coach Casey Stoney praised Chapman’s impact on the team, describing her as a tenacious and gritty player whose mentality remains a core part of the squad’s identity. The upcoming friendly follows Canada’s recent penalty shootout victory against Denmark in Montreal.
