Allyson Bezerra proposes maternity leave extension in Rio Grande do Norte

Allyson Bezerra, a candidate for the governorship of Rio Grande do Norte representing União Brasil, has proposed several new policies for state employees and students. During a debate hosted by TV Tropical, Bezerra pledged to extend maternity leave for state employees from the current 180 days to seven months.

In the education sector, the candidate proposed implementing full-time schooling across all state schools, including five daily meals. Additionally, Bezerra announced a state version of the Student Support Program (PAE), which would provide a monthly transfer of R$ 200 to low-income students, along with a R$ 1,000 year-end incentive.

While Bezerra noted that these measures are based on policies previously implemented during his administration in Mossoró, the proposed state-wide versions would feature different rules and scales than the municipal models.
