ALMA International Culinary School promotes Italian gastronomy
ALMA – La Scuola internazionale di cucina italiana, located at the Reggia di Colorno in Parma, continues its mission to promote Italian gastronomic culture and address the shortage of professional vocations in the hospitality sector. Since its founding in 2004 under the leadership of Gualtiero Marchesi, the institution has trained 16,261 students, including chefs, pastry chefs, sommeliers, and restaurant managers.
In 2025, the school saw a total of 925 enrollees, consisting of 637 Italians and 288 international students, with an average age of 23.5 years. The curriculum covers various aspects of hospitality, from fine dining and pastry science to business strategy. To ensure professional integration, the school facilitated 710 internships across 1,100 different hospitality structures last year. The institution also offers international courses in English to train future chefs for the global fine dining market.
