Almada to host film industry forum for Margem Sul

The Salão das Carochas in Almada will host the first CineCarochas meeting, titled “Onde Está o Cinema da Margem Sul?” (Where is the Cinema of the South Bank?), on October 30. Organized by the CineCarochas film club, which was launched by the Almada Municipality, the event serves as a platform for dialogue between associations, producers, directors, actors, and technical crews located south of the Tagus River.

The initiative aims to connect local professionals with national entities such as the ICA, the National Cinema Plan, and the Portugal Film Commission. The event will feature a debate panel titled “A Margem Sul Como Território de Cinema” (The South Bank as a Cinema Territory), featuring Mário Ventura, Rita Cadima de Oliveira, Luís Almeida, and Andreia Nunes, to discuss the challenges and opportunities of regional film production and promotion.
