Almada water supply stabilizes following recent crisis

Water supply in Almada, Portugal, has stabilized more than a month after a period of crisis. The Municipal Water and Sanitation Services (SMAS) confirmed that nighttime water cuts have ceased and regular supply has been restored to the population.

SMAS reports that average storage levels are expected to remain between 75% and 76%. While the municipality declared an alert status on July 8, which remains in effect until the end of August, authorities are monitoring consumption and storage levels continuously to manage resources responsibly. Local health authorities have also confirmed that the water remains safe for human consumption.
