Almanpınarı Yaylası attracts visitors seeking relief from Çukurova heat

Almanpınarı Yaylası, located in the Hasanbeyli district of Osmaniye, has become a popular destination for those seeking relief from the intense summer heat of the Çukurova region. Situated at an altitude of approximately 800 to 1,000 meters, the plateau is characterized by its oak forests, cold spring water, and cool climate.

Visitors travel to the area from surrounding provinces, including Gaziantep, Adana, and Hatay. The location accommodates both day trippers and those staying longer in local plateau houses. Local residents and long-term visitors note that the high oxygen levels and clean air are believed to provide health benefits for individuals suffering from asthma, diabetes, and blood pressure issues.

The plateau has a long history; local accounts state it was established in 1954 by Hacı Duran Çatalbaş and his associates. The area remains a significant site for seasonal migration to escape regional heat.
