Almassora receives 2.6 million euros for elderly social services

The Generalitat Valenciana, through the Department of Social Services, Family, and Children, has allocated more than 2.6 million euros to reinforce social care in Almassora. This funding is specifically aimed at supporting elderly residents and ensuring the operation of various municipal resources.

The investment includes approximately 1.5 million euros for the Vicente Vilar Morellá municipal residence for dependent elderly people, over 200,000 euros for the local day center, and nearly 900,000 euros for general social services in the municipality. These funds will assist in covering personnel costs and social benefits.

During a visit to the municipal residence to mark its 25th anniversary, Counselor Elena Albalat highlighted the importance of integrating elderly citizens into the social and community life of Almassora. The residence currently provides 56 residential places and 15 day center spots.
