Almería agricultural sector faces heat delays and Asian market expansion

The horticultural campaign in Almería is beginning with a focus on stability despite a delayed start for several crops due to high temperatures. While production in El Ejido and Roquetas is expected to remain stable, heat is currently affecting fruit setting.

Phytosanitary concerns remain high, with the Parvispinus pest present throughout the province and aphid monitoring increasing in the Levante region. Meanwhile, zucchini production remains consistent with previous years, maintaining stable prices.
