Almería authorities approve 14.5 million euros for provincial infrastructure

The Diputación de Almería has approved an investment of 14.5 million euros to fund 47 projects across the province. These initiatives, distributed through Provincial Plans, cover various sectors including municipal buildings, urban paving, roads, environmental transition, and water sanitation. Of these projects, 22 have been awarded and 25 are currently in the bidding phase.

Among the major works is the construction of the future Music School in Vícar, representing an investment exceeding 4 million euros. President José Antonio García Alcaina stated that these investments aim to maintain basic services and improve quality of life in smaller towns.

In the municipality of Huércal de Almería, local authorities have completed infrastructure renewals in the Los Pinos urbanization. This project, part of a nearly one-million-euro municipal investment plan, involved replacing old water supply and sanitation networks to reduce leaks and service interruptions. The works included paving and road improvements in several streets, such as Mulhacén, Teide, and others, to modernize the urban environment.
