Almería celebrates traditional fair with tourism campaign and local fashion
The city of Almería is preparing for its traditional fair dedicated to the Virgen del Mar, highlighting both regional tourism initiatives and local cultural traditions.
The Andalusian government has launched a tourism campaign centered on the concept of 'trato andaluz' (Andalusian treatment), aiming to welcome visitors with warmth and hospitality. This initiative seeks to connect with tourists through the heart and soul of the region's culture and people.
In the realm of local fashion, designer Curro Ruiz is preparing his 2026 collection, titled ‘Pita y Clavel’. The collection draws inspiration from the local landscape, utilizing the greens and browns of the pita plant and the red of the carnation. Ruiz will continue his collaboration with the Mayor of Almería, María del Mar, who will wear one of his designs for the fourth consecutive year during the festivities.
