Almería expands educational infrastructure with new music school and adult center

New educational and cultural infrastructure projects have been announced in the Almería province. In Vícar, the Diputación Provincial de Almería has awarded the contract for a new music school. The project, costing over four million euros, will be co-funded by the Diputación (70%) and the Vícar City Council (30%). The 2,256-square-meter facility will feature four floors with specialized rooms for wind, string, piano, and percussion instruments, aiming to serve more than 500 students.

In Almería city, the local government has opened the bidding process for the rehabilitation of the former Virgen del Socorro school in the La Chanca neighborhood. With a budget of approximately 856,761 euros, the works will focus on the interior of the first and second floors to create a modern headquarters for the Adult Education Center (CEPER). This follows an initial phase that addressed structural repairs, facade restoration, and roof renovations.
