Almería implements gender equality plans and employment programs

In the province of Almería and across Andalusia, various initiatives are targeting employment and social equity. Approximately one hundred organizations in Almería sought technical assistance during the first half of 2026 to implement gender equality plans. This support, managed by the Junta de Andalucía through the Instituto Andaluz de la Mujer, saw 46.8% of participants being private companies, with a high concentration in professional, scientific, and technical services.

Simultaneously, the Agricultural Employment Promotion Program (PFEA) is driving local development in the municipalities of Benahadux, Rioja, and Instinción. With an investment of 250,000 euros, the program is generating over 3,000 workdays. These projects focus on improving public infrastructure, such as streets, municipal networks, parks, and gardens, to enhance the quality of life and provide local job opportunities.
