Almería launches business support office and waste tax campaign

The Almería City Council and the Almería Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Navigation, and Services have signed a collaboration agreement to launch the Merchant and Hospitality Service Office for the 2026 call. With a total budget of 41,032.14 euros, the municipality is providing 40,000 euros to support the modernization and growth of SMEs and self-employed workers in the commerce and hospitality sectors.

To facilitate this service, the city council will provide a free office space on Alcalde Muñoz Street to the Chamber of Commerce. The office will be staffed by a professional working 35.5 hours per week to assist local businesses.

Separately, the Almería City Council has allocated approximately 40,000 euros for an information campaign regarding new waste collection service regulations. This initiative aims to explain the reasons behind new waste taxes mandated by Spanish national regulations and to inform citizens about available tax incentives and rebates for sustainable practices, such as using municipal recycling centers.
