Almería municipalities request infrastructure improvements from Junta de Andalucía

Municipal leaders in the Almería region met with Francisco Góngora, the new Government Delegate of the Junta de Andalucía in Almería, to discuss local infrastructure and development needs.

In Vícar, Mayor Antonio Bonilla requested the construction of a third institute in Las Cabañuelas, offering municipal land for the project. The discussions also covered educational expansions for CEIP Saint Sylvain D’Anjou and the creation of new schools in La Envía, alongside the urgent need for wastewater treatment plants to support the agricultural sector.

In La Mojonera, Mayor José Miguel Hernández addressed priorities including water security and connections to desalination plants. The municipality recently completed a 1.7 million euro investment to reinforce its potable water supply. The meeting focused on coordinating future planning for healthcare, security, and public spaces through institutional collaboration.
