Almería Paseo renovation reaches 97% completion

The renovation of the Paseo in Almería is nearing completion, with works currently at a 97% progress rate. The Almería City Council is planning an official inauguration to celebrate the full reopening of this central commercial and social thoroughfare.

Remaining tasks are concentrated around the Plaza del Educador and the southern intersection with Rambla Federico García Lorca. Eloísa Cabrera, the head of Urbanism and Infrastructure, has set a final completion deadline of September 30. This follows a four-and-a-half-month extension granted to the contractor in May.

Despite technical challenges during construction, such as the relocation of an Endesa electrical substation and issues with natural stone supplies, officials report that mobility issues have been largely resolved, with vehicle and pedestrian traffic flowing with minimal disruption.
