The province of Almería is preparing for significant cycling events in early September. The XXII edition of the ‘Las 4 Cimas’ sports cycling march will take place on September 5 in the Sierra de Los Filabres. The 115-kilometer route, featuring 2,861 meters of positive elevation, is expected to draw participants from 25 different provinces.

Additionally, Almuñécar will host the start of the 13th stage of La Vuelta Ciclista a España on September 4. Local authorities have announced a neutralized route through the urban center before connecting to the N-340 toward Motril. To facilitate the race, the Almuñécar City Council has implemented special mobility measures, including parking restrictions and temporary road closures between 11:00 and 13:00 on the day of the stage.
