Almería to host 2027 Adventure Travel World Summit

Almería has been selected to host the Adventure Travel World Summit (ATWS) in October 2027. This marks the first time the event will be held in Spain, succeeding Quebec, Canada, as the host city.

The summit is a high-level professional gathering that brings together approximately 1,000 experts from 50 different countries, including tour operators, specialized media, and industry companies. The event aims to analyze global trends, establish commercial alliances, and promote Almería’s natural landscapes, such as the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park and its desert regions, as premier destinations for sustainable and active tourism.

Local authorities, including the Almería City Council, the Provincial Council, and the Junta de Andalucía, coordinated the bid. The summit is expected to generate an immediate direct economic impact of nearly 2 million euros through activities in accommodation, transport, and catering.
