Dutch municipalities announce new coalition cabinets and appointments

In Amersfoort, the coalition of PRO, D66, VVD and CDA presented six candidate‑wethouders, including incumbent Nadya Aboyaakoub‑Akkouh (PRO) and new representatives from each party, to be confirmed by the municipal council on 8 July.

Almere’s new coalition of PRO, VVD, D66, CDA and Leefbaar Almere also named six wethouders with specific portfolios: Paul Tang (PRO) will lead housing and spatial development, Aya Selman focuses on city livability, Lesley van Hilten (VVD) handles finance and mobility, Jan‑Bert Vroege (D66) covers economy, education and sustainability, Evert Jan Slootweg (CDA) oversees care and social security, and Jordy Hulzebos (Leefbaar Almere) is responsible for youth and education.
