Almere City FC defeats Vitesse as Dutch athletes set records

Almere City FC secured a 3-0 victory against Vitesse in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. Ferdy Druijf opened the scoring in the 53rd minute, followed by a goal from Marley Dors in the 75th minute. Emmanuel Poku completed the win with a third goal in the 79th minute.

In athletics, Femke Broeders-Bol set a new Dutch record in the 800 meters in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a time of 1:55.41, surpassing the previous record held by Ellen van Langen. Additionally, Nadine Visser finished second in the 100-meter hurdles at the Diamond League in Lausanne, recording a time of 12.42 seconds.

Vitesse also reported issues regarding mold on their football pitch, which the club is currently working to resolve.
