Almeria launches exhibition on 25 years of urban transformation
An exhibition titled “Almería, a vibrant urban revolution” opened on 30 July at the Parque de la Estación, showcasing the city’s evolution over the past quarter‑century. Organized by the IDEAL newspaper, the display features fifteen units and thirty panels that trace fourteen major projects, including the underground train, a high‑speed rail link, the Paseo de Almería redevelopment, the Port‑City initiative and historic site restorations.
The opening was attended by city councillor for urban planning, housing and festivals Eloísa Cabrera, IDEAL representative Miguel Cárceles, tourism and communications councillor Joaquín Pérez de la Blanca and journalist Jos. Visitors can explore how the projects have reshaped public spaces, improved transport, created economic opportunities and reconnected residents with their heritage until the exhibition closes in autumn.
