Almina Çakmak recovers after 88 days in intensive care following Muğla car accident

Almina Çakmak, a 15-year-old girl who was critically injured in a car accident in Muğla, has been moved from intensive care to a pediatric ward after 88 days. The accident occurred on May 27 in the Menteşe district when a vehicle lost control due to rain and overturned, injuring five people.

During her time in intensive care at Muğla Training and Research Hospital, doctors had given her only a 10 percent chance of survival. Her condition was severe, involving cardiac arrest, lung complications requiring three tubes, and various surgeries on her arm and leg.

While she is currently unable to speak or walk, she has made significant progress and is now able to breathe and eat on her own. Her rehabilitation and treatment process is ongoing.
