Almir Badnjević ranked among top 2% of most cited scientists

Professor Almir Badnjević, Director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Records and Data Exchange (IDDEEA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been named among the top 2% of the world's most cited scientists.

According to the latest Stanford-Elsevier rankings released on October 7, 2026, Badnjević appeared on both lists: one for career-long scientific impact and another for citation impact achieved during 2025. The ranking utilizes Scopus database metrics, including citation counts and the h-index.

This recognition follows Badnjević's recent selection as one of the 50 global leaders of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) by the Apolitical platform and the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council for GovTech. His work with IDDEEA has been noted for advancements in digital identity, secure data exchange, and institutional interoperability.
