Almir Sater promotes sustainable conservation in the Pantanal

Singer and composer Almir Sater has maintained a long-standing connection to the Pantanal region through his Fazenda Campo Novo, a 25,000-hectare property located in Aquidauana, Mato Grosso do Sul.

Since 2003, Sater has been involved in initiatives to reconcile rural production with environmental conservation. As president of the Instituto Parque do Pantanal, he worked toward a shared management model between rural producers and the government. This approach aimed to allow families to remain on their land and continue cattle ranching through sustainable practices adapted to the biome's natural characteristics.

His property has integrated cattle raising with organic production and the preservation of native forests, demonstrating a model where economic activity and environmental protection coexist. This work is reflected in his artistic career, which frequently draws inspiration from the culture and landscape of the Pantanal.
