Almirante Brown students develop 3D-printed wheelchair

The Municipality of Almirante Brown has recognized a teacher and a group of students from the Centro de Formación Profesional N° 401 in Claypole for developing a 3D-printed wheelchair. The project, led by 3D maker Ezequiel Villarreal, aims to provide functional prototypes for children with disabilities as a charitable initiative.

The project was presented during the Expo ‘Futuro Brown’, where Chief of Staff Paula Eichel commended the team for applying science and technology to serve the community. The functional prototype was constructed by approximately 12 students, aged 25 to 40, supported by six makers and teachers. The design is based on an original concept from the United States, which had previously been adapted by youth in Córdoba, Argentina.
