Almirante Brown's Zoonosis Center becomes a regional model for animal health

The Municipal Animal Health and Zoonosis Center of Burzaco, located in Almirante Brown, has established itself as a reference institution at provincial, national, and Latin American levels. The center is recognized for its public policy regarding the ethical control of canine and feline populations.

Local officials, including Mariano Cascallares and interim mayor Juan Fabiani, recently hosted Buenos Aires Province Deputy Marcela Basualdo to showcase the facility's operations and methodologies. The center's program of free, massive, and systematic spaying and neutering has become a model studied and replicated by various municipalities and technical teams across Argentina and the region.

With over 25 years of experience, the center has served as a training hub. Between 2016 and 2026, more than 150 technical teams from different Argentine provinces and Latin American countries participated in training sessions at the facility.
