Almkerk camper storage fire destroys eight vehicles

On Wednesday evening a large fire broke out at a camper storage facility on Provincialweg Noord in Almkerk, Netherlands. The blaze engulfed eight campers, which were completely lost. Firefighters from the local Almkerk brigade and additional units from Oosterhout were deployed under a GRIP‑1 response, preventing the fire from spreading to an adjacent shed. No injuries were reported.

Police are investigating the cause and have not ruled out arson. Owners of the destroyed campers expressed shock and disappointment, while others were relieved that their own vehicles survived. Thick black smoke was visible across the surrounding area.
