Almorie Naggayi, a 19-year-old from Masaka, has been crowned Miss Uganda 2026/2027. The crowning ceremony took place in the early hours of Sunday, October 11, at the Sheraton Gardens in Kampala.

Naggayi, who represented Masaka City and the Central Region, emerged victorious from a group of 22 finalists. She succeeds the previous titleholder, Trivia Elle Muhoza. As Miss Uganda, Naggayi will have the opportunity to represent the country at the Miss World 2027 competition in Tanzania.

The grand finale also served as a milestone event, celebrating 15 years of the Miss Uganda Foundation under the leadership of Brenda Nanyonjo. Naggayi’s platform, titled ‘Beauty With a Purpose’, focuses on promoting financial literacy and vocational skilling to foster independence among women and girls.

Naggayi previously held the Miss Uganda High School title in 2024 and represented the nation at Miss Teen International in India. Beyond pageantry, she has expressed interests in diplomacy, international relations, and foreign policy.
