Soria Provincial Council defends sovereignty of Ceuta and Melilla
Various regional developments and political motions have been reported across Spain. In Soria, the Provincial Council approved a motion in defense of the Spanish sovereignty of Ceuta and Melilla, supported by the PP and Vox, urging the central government to take extraordinary measures to ensure security and order in the autonomous cities.
In Almería, the City Council approved an urban redevelopment project in the Vega-La Goleta area, allowing for the construction of approximately 102 new homes. Meanwhile, in Granada, the regional government's new territorial delegates were sworn in, with officials calling for increased proximity and management in local municipalities.
Local political tensions persist in other regions: in Almuñécar, VOX raised concerns regarding water safety and aquifer impact during social housing excavations; in Huelva, officials denounced the abandonment and illegal occupation of the Casita Blanca building; and in Logroño, the PP and Vox rejected a motion regarding the selection process for social housing beneficiaries. Additionally, residents in Vigo's Barreiro district are protesting the scale and location of a proposed €169,000 dog park.
