Borussia Dortmund defender Almugera Kabar joins NEC Nijmegen on loan

Borussia Dortmund has officially announced the loan of 20-year-old defender Almugera Kabar to Dutch Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen. The deal, which lasts until the end of the 2026/27 season, aims to provide the German U20 international with consistent top-level playing time after making only six Bundesliga appearances for Dortmund.

NEC Nijmegen Technical Director Carlos Aalbers praised Kabar’s physical qualities and dynamism, noting that his profile fits the club’s playing style. The move comes as NEC seeks defensive reinforcements ahead of their Champions League qualification play-off final against FK Bodö/Glimt.

In related transfer news, Dortmund goalkeeper Diant Ramaj is also reportedly nearing a one-year loan move to Danish club FC Copenhagen to gain more regular match experience.
