Almyros signs contract for new indoor swimming pool

The contract for the construction of an indoor swimming pool in Almyros, near the Kouri Forest, has been signed in Larissa. The agreement was signed by the Regional Governor of Thessaly, Dimitris Kouretas, and the Mayor of Almyros, Dimitris Eseridis.

The project has a budget of 1,335,000 euros including VAT, with a construction timeline of 18 months. The facility is designed to be an energy-autonomous training center featuring a 10x25 meter pool with a variable depth of 1.20 to 1.80 meters. It will include changing rooms, accessible restrooms, a medical office, and advanced water recycling systems. The contractor has indicated the possibility of completing the project ahead of schedule.

Additionally, an 800,000 euro project is set to be auctioned for the development of the entrance to the Kouri Forest. This planned sports complex will include padel and tennis courts, 5x5 and basketball-volleyball courts, an outdoor gym park, a pedestrian path, and parking facilities.
