Alo 193 Joint Damage Notification Center to launch September 1

The Alo 193 Joint Damage Notification Center (OİHM) is scheduled to begin operations on September 1, 2026. Managed by the Insurance Information and Monitoring Center (SBM), the new system is designed to streamline the process for reporting damages and complaints related to traffic insurance and motor insurance (kasko).

Under the new system, individuals involved in traffic accidents can call Alo 193 to provide necessary details, including identity numbers, contact information, vehicle license plates, the date of the accident, and whether the incident involved injuries or fatalities. The center will then notify the relevant insurance companies. For accidents involving multiple vehicles, all participating companies will be informed. In single-vehicle accidents, the notification will go to the kasko provider, while injury or death reports will be directed to the traffic insurance provider.

This initiative, part of an action plan by the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency (SEDDK), aims to accelerate compensation processes and combat organized groups attempting to obtain illegal “damage tracking powers of attorney” by stealing personal information. The system also intends to minimize disputes regarding value loss in traffic insurance.
