Alone at Dawn set for Christmas 2027 release

Amazon MGM Studios and Imagine Entertainment have scheduled the release of the war drama ‘Alone at Dawn’ for Christmas Day 2027. Directed by Ron Howard, the film stars Anne Hathaway and Adam Driver.

Based on the book by Dan Schilling and Lori Longfritz, the story follows an intelligence officer investigating the actions of Air Force Combat Controller John Chapman. The investigation aims to prove Chapman’s valor following his actions during the Afghan War in 2002, an effort that ultimately leads to his posthumous Medal of Honor.

The film is slated for a platform release on Christmas Day, expanding to select cities in early January 2028, and moving to a nationwide release during Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. The production features a screenplay by Michael Russell Gunn and includes Betty Gilpin in the cast.
