Alonso Sánchez Arriaga leads Juventudes Socialistas of Ciudad Real
Alonso Sánchez Arriaga has been appointed as the new leader of the Juventudes Socialistas in the province of Ciudad Real, succeeding María Montes. The leadership transition occurred during the organization's 15th Provincial Congress, held in the provincial capital.
Montes stepped down after four years in the role upon reaching the maximum age limit for the position. During the event, she defended the continued relevance of social policies and equality among young people, rejecting claims that the youth demographic is shifting toward right-wing ideologies.
The congress featured prominent political figures, including José Manuel Caballero, the provincial PSOE Secretary General, and Isabel Rodríguez, the Minister of Housing. The new leadership has prioritized several key issues, including public education, healthcare, housing, employment, and gender equality, as central pillars of their upcoming political activity.
